How punchy is this line?
"Obviously, the President is a Christian"
That's Bill Burton's reply to a question about a disturbing percentage of people disputing Obama's Christian faith.
"What a disgrace! It is shameful that after two years of campaigning, after two years in power, people can no longer be fooled by smear polls. I don't dignify ignorance."
That could have been a better response. A disguised moral attack, a foxy reply veiled as a hit job and a notice to false prophets and peddlers of dumb polls.
That's how you respond to smears and not by smiling and reasoning with timidity that "obviously" he is a Christan.
If it was that obvious, the poll results will be telling a different story.
