Equal Time
I am a regular viewer of MSNBC and sit right in the middle of your coveted advertising "demo." Although I am happy with the addition of multiple viewpoints at MSNBC (I disliked when people branded it the liberal station) I am disappointed with the coverage of the primary and caucus season. Your ratings are up. That's good. But, wouldn't it be even better if you could take the "fair and balanced" mantel away from Fox? You do not need to become Fox to do it.
I am an avid consumer of news, but television is only one source for me. I land on MSNBC during dinner and when I go to bed...maybe a little more on weekends. The rest of the time I am looking at a myriad of other sources. Near as I can tell, there are 5 viable presidential candidates right now. Some would argue that we should still include Kasich. OK then, 6. Your coverage of Trump FAR exceeds that of all other candidates combined. Since he usually says the same things over and over again, is this really warranted? Also, Bernie Sanders seems to be under some sort of media blackout. He gets mentioned every now and then, but on the democratic side, the slant clearly is that Hillary is a shoe-in. I'm especially disappointed that when you report delegate counts, you are including the super delegates which makes it look like a 2 to 1 margin in her favor. Most casual viewers don't realize that super delegates can change their mind at any moment. This should at least be worthy of some sort of asterisk at the bottom of the page.
Your misleading reporting can impact voters who may now believe that there is no point in voting. This is negligent journalism.
I hope to see some changes so I don't have to go looking for another news outlet when I do want to watch some television news.
Thank you for your time.
