Rasmussen has Romney collapsing

by JOEL1954

Seems to me either Romney's support is collapsing or that Rasmussen has gotten marching orders to push Santorum as the frontrunner. He has Obama beating Romney by 10 points today 50-40 and hard to believe, Santorum more competitive losing 46-42.
Another little nugget is that Santorum is running even with Obama in Ohio while Romney is behind. Would the republicans be insane enough to run someone so out of the mainstream as Santorum as the nominee?
Seems like Obama is the luckiest man in the world when it comes to elections, he always ends up with a total loser as an opponent. Anyway I just found this polling quite interesting it seems that Romney has lost massive support. I have not seen any other pollster showing Santorum anywhere near competitive in a general election. Watching the republicans destroy themselves is becoming really enjoyable.
Also they have Obama at 51% approval while at the same time saying Catholics are really angry over this contraceptive issue. It just doesn't ad up. Anyway I smell 1964 all over again!

What's up with Rasmussen

by JOEL1954

The question is Rasmussen a real pollster or a GOP propaganda minister. Can we dismiss him or take his polls as very accurate. He tends to pick the winners  of a state in senatorial and governors races but his results are always biased in republican direction.

Rasmussen is becoming a joke

by JOEL1954

I don't usually write diaries but I think Rasmussen can no longer be taken seriously as a pollster. He is spinning so hard for the republicans he has to be on their payroll.
Of course we all know how he always has Obama with the lowest approval rating of anyone and pushes his strong approval strong disapproval theme.
Today he has him at minus 17 which sounds very ominous but you find out at the end he actually  has him at 47% approval. Again he uses whatever he deems to be a likely voter for approval which is just not right because non voters still have an opinion of their president and may turn into a voter.
The thing that really got to me was he had a poll of Patty Murry of Washington it showed her leading all announced republicans by double digits. Of course he had to throw in a poll with Dino Rossi that had him leading 48-46 when this was only done to weaken her. Rossi has no plans to run for the seat. Rasmussen is becoming a troll for the right wingers and is not getting any pushback from the media. He never polls any races where the democrats are strong and his sole purpose seems to be to convince Americans that democrats will be wiped out this year in the senate.

 Where is Obama`s bounce

by JOEL1954

Barack Obama is having a great trip in the middle east and seems to be getting no bounce. In the rasmussen tracking poll he is flat, dead even with leaners. Yesterday he was up 6 in the gallup and lost 3 points today and is only getting 45% of the voters polled, and gallup polls cell phones.
Is it possible he is going to get blowback from people for going oversees and acting like the statesman we expect him to be or is McCain actually getting somewhere with his lame attacks.
I was very hopeful when I saw yesterdays Gallup poll that he would take off and put McCain out of his misery.Anyway I realize this is a  short diary but i`m interested in what other people think of this problem.

Hillary is unelectable

by JOEL1954

Hillary Clintons arguement that she is the only electable candidate is
the ravings of a delusional person. All the recent polling shows that Obama is the most electable candidate.
Today on Rasmussen reports Obama is only 3 points behind McCain(who`s numbers rasmussen tends to inflate imo) Both Obama and McCain have postive approval,,52% for Obama an improvement, and 56% for McCain. Hillary is still minus 7, 45% positive 52% negative although this is still a slight improvement for her.
How does this woman think she will be elected when the majority of the country dislikes her, especially men. by over 20% men like McCain over Hillary. For some reason Obama`s positives are rising quite a bit. It is now time for all good democrats to run Hillary out of this race for her own good. She is only going to embarrass herself if she stays in until the convention.
It would really be in the best interest of everyone involved for Hillary to lose Pa. and be forced out before she causes any more damage. If she loses Pa. she would definitely lose big in N.C. and probably lose Indiana as well. I think even Bill would want her out before she destroys what`s left of any good will towards him.

 are the Clintons delusional?

by JOEL1954

I am usually just a lurker   and rarely  do a diary but I am just getting so disgusted with this election I had to get this off my chest.
It seems to me that Hillary Clinton must know she cannot possibly get elected president even if she could get the nomination.
In order for a democrat to get elected it would seem to me they would need close to 90% of the black vote and the Clintons have alienated so many black voters it just seems to me that they couldn`t even get close to the number needed for election.
This is not lost on superdelegates and they must realize a Clinton nomination would be self defeating. I assume if Hillary is the nominee a good portion of black voters would stay home as a protest and the ones that do show up may give her maybe 70% of their votes at best.
The question is why are they doing this. Is it ego or are they just meanspirted and delusional.Just a few thoughts i wanted to get off my chest. Is there someone out  there that can tell me how Hillary would plan on getting elected after making half the democratic party hate her.

I am a premium member of Rasmussen reports and i just took a quick look and Bush has dropped 9 points in 2 days. On  Tuesday he was at 44% approval yesterday he dropped 5 points to 39 and today he has fallen to what I believe is his all time low for Rasmussen of 35% approval and 61% disapproval.
He doesn`t have the stats up yet but I assume he is losing a lot of his base.Considering  that Rasmussen gives  Bush his best approval it is feasable he will drop into the high twenties by next  week.
It appears his speech  has had a very negative affect on the country and possibly scared the heck out  of everyone because I believe he made it clear he intends to attack Iran & Syria very  soon. This is just another example of Bush screwing up everything he touches.
