Hello fellow Gussacks. I have been away for a while, sorry about that. November was a tough month. I am back today with a hearty hello and a little tip to help with the habit while you drive.
Brought to you by the letter “G”.

I remember well how much I smoked while behind the wheel. I gave me something to do and, of course, provided the chemicals that assured my continued loyalty to the habit.
A large part of the addiction is the activity habit. It gives you something to do with your hands while you are idle, such as behind the wheel, where smoking is an easy and illusionary satisfying activity.
I had that very problem. I drive a lot. Smoking was something to do. When I quit, I replaced it with oral hygiene. My tool of choice is The Doctor’s Brushpicks.
Every time I am behind the wheel for my lengthy commute I have a pack handy.
There are a variety of product available. Maybe you would prefer a floss stick…
Or a mini toothbrush…
The point is, behind the wheel can be boring, and boredom is the enemy of anyone trying to put the habit behind them. This little trick served me well, and not just in my efforts to quit. My dentist tells me I have the best gums he has ever seen on an adult. Distraction from the craving and supergums...win/win.
