If you were a fly on the wall of the closed-door meeting yesterday that resulted in Joe Barton's keeping his cherished ranking member spot on Energy and Commerce, you would have no doubt heard his Big Oil PAC $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ talking.
Obama forcibly took up the DEM's agenda today because he believes that this reform is best for all Americans. This may signal a way back for the DEMs for 2010.
