The Bernie Sanders Facebook took another opportunity to nail their 95 theses to the Democratic Party’s front door today. Normally I would find this merely tedious but when there were staggering inaccuracies in every single bullet point, the urge to pick this apart took over. Let’s dive in, shall we.
"How to disenfranchise millions of voters, destroy your Political Party and lose an Election": A recipe by the DNC.
Mmmmm. Tasty recipes.
So...let's recap the real reasons why Bernie Supporters are upset and turning #BernieOrBust in record numbers...starting from the beginning of the Election:
So “real” reasons this time? No more of those old, no good. fake reasons they have been parading around.
* The DNC stacks Hundreds of Super Delegates in Clinton's favor right from the start of the Race
The DNC did this? Are you sure it wasn’t the fact that Clinton has served in various capacities with most of these people for two decades and they, you know, publicly endorsed her. Now in hindsight, they should have kept their mouths f-ing shut for all the grief this non-issue has caused. The networks also screwed the pooch in reporting these delegate numbers mixed up with pledged delegates for each primary. No wonder they feel robbed, but a simple explanation should have cleared this up. The Sanders folks are being obtuse in holding on to this slight like it is a fresh wound every time someone says “super delegate”. It is also exactly how it worked last time, but somehow this is all about Bernie.
* The Debate schedule is blatantly reduced from 26 debates in 2008, down to 4 debates before Iowa so that even Democrat Presidential Candidate Martin O'Malley calls it the most rigged Primary Process he's ever seen..."We've never seen this sort of rigged process before."
“Democrat Presidential candidate”? Ding ding ding: the old “Democrat party” right wing taunt. Normally I would just stop here, with every drop of credibility drained from the author, but that quote bugged me; it was so specific and, frankly, contained more anger than Martin O’Malley could conceivably muster. So I Googled it and came up with…..only references to this very Bernie Sanders post copied verbatim in various comment fever swamps! PaulDem’s second law of political social media: if the quote does not have a linked citation, it should be presumed false or misleading.
* DNC Vice Chair - Tulsi Gabbard, in response to the outcry of O'Malley and others, calls for more Debates and is uninvited to the Debates by the DNC.
DNC denies this of course, but after Rep. Gabbard went on TV and slammed the DNC for their debates, the idea that the bouncer might not be able to find her name on the list hardly breaks new ground in the history of political retribution.
* Tulsi Gabbard is warned by fellow DNC members to NOT endorse Bernie Sanders. She leaves her position as DNC Vice chair to support Bernie Sanders...like a true Patriot.
Perhaps this refers to a Politico article that says: “Rep. Tulsi Gabbard said that even though ‘a lot of people’ warned her against endorsing Bernie Sanders, she did it anyway...” Okay, the DNC is made up by “a lot of people” and she was warned by “a lot of people” then, based on the transitive property of political smears, she was warned by the DNC. QED.
* Coin tosses in the Iowa Caucuses hand Hillary Clinton a victory.
I will just repeat the title of a CNN article: “No, Hillary Clinton did not win Iowa because of a coin flip”. In case you don’t care to read, there were seven recorded coin tosses and Sanders won six. Let’s leave aside the fact that these were only to determine additional delegates to the State Convention. Let’s also leave aside the fact that caucuses are a completely asinine system for picking a nominee.
* Bernie Sanders wins New Hampshire but Clinton is awarded more Delegates so that even the RNC in New Hampshire protests in favor of Bernie Sanders.
See Delegates, Super above.
* Clinton 'wins' Arizona amid the most blatant display of Voter Suppression probably in US history. 1.9 Million registered voters in Maricopa County...half of them Democrats and Independents...and only 250,000 votes are counted.
Last time I checked Republicans ran the show in Arizona and, as is their habit, shorted the polling places in the the cities. I believe this is an issue that all Democrats feel passionately about and I would welcome the company in trying to change it. It’s hardly a DNC vendetta against Senator Sanders, however.
* New York: 120,000 possible Bernie Voters are purged from the rolls in Brooklyn handing Clinton a win. 3.2 Million Independents, most who would vote for Sanders...blocked from voting. Exit polls reflect a 12 percent difference in Clinton's favor, 2 percent is considered election fraud.
Possibly all Bernie voters, but based on statistics, probably only about 45% with the other 55% voting for Clinton. Oh and a closed primary — just like all NY primaries for forever — was clearly cooked up in 1972 by people who were planning to deny Bernie this chance.
* Numerous evidences of Voter suppression and Election fraud and Clinton Electioneering are documented in many states.
Nice try. I presume the “evidences” they are referring to are found in this sort of article that came out after the KY primary. When they say “documented” I believe they should have added “...by phone calls from a handful of concern trolls definitely not affiliated with the Sanders campaign”.
* Mainstream Media with direct money ties to Clinton and the DNC (eg. CNN, MSNBC) blackout Bernie Sander's rallies and their sizes...while blacking out Clinton Rallies and their unusually small sizes in comparison, raising the question: "If Clinton's supporters are so large in number...why aren't they showing up to her rallies in those numbers?" Sanders supporters protest at CNN HQ...and CNN doesn't even cover the event. CNN also continues to spam the Super Delegate spin in favor of Clinton.
If we have such bigger rallies than everyone else, why isn’t everyone voting for us!?!. Oh, bless your heart. Let’s pour some tea while I tell you the story of Howard Dean. Also too the Lamestream Media is only blacking out the rallies if you discount stories in the national news, local news, online, and, if my Facebook wall in any indication, re-posted by eight out of ten Sanders supporters. Blackout? I do not think that word means what you think it means.
* Exit polls continuously show Sander's supporters voting in greater numbers...yet Clinton seems to win those states, again raising the question: "Something fishy is going on. Where are all these mystery Clinton voters?" Now they are suddenly doing away with exit polls one of the ways to spot irregularities and fraud in elections.
Ah exit polls, where America gets to walk out of the restaurant and swear they ordered the spinach salad instead of the turducken. Since we are engaging in speculation, how about this: They are stopping exit polling because they are ridiculously expensive and the remaining primaries will likely have no impact on the result so let’s just skip it and cover The Voice. Which explanation is more plausible?
* And then...NEVADA. The breakdown of the NEVADA DNC Convention that has brought the frustration within the party to a Critical Mass.
SO...now the DNC and the Media are attempting to paint Bernie Sanders supporters as the bad guys and the rowdy bunch in a lame attempt to accuse us of being 'the Bullies'
Guys, when you have lost Samantha Bee, maybe it’s time to retire this argument.
Sorry DNC...the whole thing has been documented.
It has now.
