My crew in the Bay Area has adopted Washoe County (Reno, NV) for the last three Presidential cycles. We drive across the state, canvas for the Washoe County Dems, register voters, and then as the election approaches, GOTV. Washoe County swings Nevada, and as we know Nevada’s Senate race is the tie breaker for control of the US Senate and the Supreme Court.
I’m tracking early voting numbers in the county in a spreadsheet using the data provided by the county and am making that available to interested parties.
Team Blue is currently running 2,714 votes ahead of Team Red, and we’re at 24% and 20.6% turnout each.
Team Red and Team Blue are both near 90% turnout and currently only 2,066 votes apart. Together, each party has 18,040 voters left to turn out. However the remaining No Party Preference voters who haven’t yet voted comprise 21,648, enough to push either team over the finish line.
I’ll be tracking these numbers right up to Election Day, so keep an eye on this spreadsheet.
