Obama and Clinton have done the “gracious” thing and asked us to give Trump a chance to lead. Maybe they mean it. Maybe they feel like they have to say it. While I deeply respect them both, this is one piece of advice we can and must ignore.
We owe Trump NOTHING except contempt and obstruction. He is not my president. He will never be my president. Trump disrespected Obama for years. A man who gives no respect deserves none.
The GOP obstructed Obama from the very start. Even though Obama earned many more votes than his competitor, the GOP refused to give him an inch. Why should any of us Democrats give the loser of the popular vote anything other than the same contempt and obstruction given to our president?
The thing about “men” like Trump is that they hold anyone they “beat” in contempt. And if “losers” try to make nice with him, he despises them even more. But if the “losers” push back, he sputters. The one thing bullies can’t stand is someone who stands up for themselves. Anyone asking us to play nice with a bully is completely wrong. Trump knows in his little burnt orange heart that the election was rigged — FOR him. Russia. Wikileaks. Comey/FBI. Lazy media. Mark Burnett & Jeff Zucker hiding his Apprentice tapes. Tremendous Voter suppression. And even with all that rigging, most Americans rejected him. He did not earn the presidency. He does not deserve it. We all know it. And he knows it most of all.
So we must protest. Organize. Obstruct. Let our Democratic politicians know we will abandon them if they compromise with him. Refuse to call him president. Pressure Hollywood & Wall Street to stay away from the White House. Boycott his brand and anyone that does business with his brand. Find all the women he abused and help pay their legal bills if they wish to speak out. Get his tax returns released. Get those Apprentice tapes released. Expose his affairs and deviancies. When we hit paydirt, impeach him. Treat him like the pretender to the throne that he is.
He is not my president. He has already had many chances to become a better person. He has taken none of them. Don’t give him any more.
