There are several (?) items going around dK and teh TV-machine about how to keep a low-grade case of 19 AT HOME.
The gist is to assign a bedroom or other separable space to the ill person where they can stay away from other family members, assign one of the other family members to assist the sick member, and dedicate a bathroom to the sick person so other family members are not exposed to their corona germs.
There’s a problem with these PSA’s!!!
I have yet to see one that isn’t narrated by a (presumably very well-paid) medical doctor or media reporter, and ALL of the ones I’ve seen appear to assume a giant new house! One with multiple spare rooms and multiple bathrooms !!!!
My 3-person family lives in a ONE-BATH, TWO BEDROOM 1950’s mini-ranch. We have a living room, a kitchen/dinette, ONE bathroom and 2 bedrooms.
Short of clearing out part of the garage I cannot conceive of where all these extra, private spaces are supposed to come from! Let alone pulling a whole 2d bathroom out of my ear!
I’d really like to know if the giant brains at PSA-central have any suggestions for this problem. I’m sure we are not the only middle class family with a shortage of space.
Thanks!
