Yesterday, my kid got in trouble at school for biting another kid. He didn’t hurt the bitten, as he was role-playing a dino-vampire and not intending to actually injury anyone, but, as a parent, I was appropriately concerned. In my post dino-vampire-gate lecture, I alluded to, "what would Barack Obama do?"
This question has been on the front of my six-year old’s mind the past few days, as he now looks to Obama as a role model (especially since he’s decided that he also wants to be president).
But Obama (and Michelle) aren’t just role models for my son. They are both people I can look to as model parents. Obama's schedule today speaks to this point. Despite an insanely hectic transition schedule, he has found time to attend Parent Teacher meetings for his daughters:
