Nurse at Salisbury VA hospital gives veteran the shoes off his feet
Jan. 27, 2015 -  One quality that makes Chuck Maulden a caring emergency department nurse is his ability to put himself in someone else’s shoes.

Recently, he’s been lauded for putting someone else in his.

Maulden, 33, had been working in the emergency department at the Salisbury Veterans Affairs Medical Center for a just a couple of months when a patient came in near the end of his shift one night in November.

The man appeared to be in his mid-60s, Maulden said, and he was there because his feet were causing him such pain he could hardly walk.

“He kept talking about being in bad water in Vietnam,” Maulden said, though Maulden doesn’t know if the man served there during the war. Many soldiers who did suffered from trench foot, caused by long exposure to cold, damp conditions.

The man took off his tattered tennis shoes, and Maulden could see the soles were worn through and coming unglued. The balls of his feet were covered in huge blisters, and his compression stockings had matted to the skin where the blisters had drained. A doctor instructed Maulden to bandage his feet and give him fresh stockings.  read more>>>

Well that didn't take long, and some of the usual representatives of the 99%plus people served leading the attacks!

Long time target on Shinseki, after speaking military truth to the bushco and it's free wars and results from, seems to have shifted, not surprised at all! The VA is yet to be completely privatized for, conservative long term congressional created 'scandals' ideology, corporate profit!!

Once upon a time, it does seem now like a fairy tail in these recent years, and not long ago Americans mostly supported Humanitarian responses to World problems and not with empty, Poser, patriotic words and symbols. The World watched as we joined together, mostly, to give aid and comfort as well as leadership. That's now long gone as we've erased the lines and crossed over to extremism in the name of politics. But I digress into the now reality, now an update:

The Military Health System published two new documents about the Ebola crisis:

  -  Fact sheet for families of Service members deploying to West Africa -

  -  Frequently Asked Questions about Ebola -

"these soldiers had entered an expansive but largely secret chapter of America’s long and bitter involvement in Iraq"

Nothing 'secret' about this, after all we supplied Saddam with these as well as manufacturing information so he could produce, it's plain common sense and if journalism was really the profession it still is thought is it would have been reported right along with the war drum beating!!!

We have, still, plenty of 'dirty sights' of chemical contamination across this country, including where chemical weapons were produced, where the corporations who produced dumped as they walked away with huge profits!

Not to mention still no safe place for nuclear waste so we use some in our weapons production which is causing growing birth defects in Iraq where used heavily especially!!

Why even area's where Agent Orange was sprayed and stored to control weed growth, especially in and around military bases, has finally been discovered in this country and where we have outside of bases and public area's!!

Just one issue still ignored by those served, think Gulf War Syndrome, like this will be as well, since Vietnam, along with so many other issues ignored or denied by the Poser Patriots served so they have no need to Sacrifice themselves!! Gen Shinseki's VA administration with help from this Executive administrations Cabinet, when Congressional, Conservative, decades of obstructed budgets would allow, started addressing many of the issues of our Wars!

Keep in mind, around the globe, landmines buried are still not only being discovered but are killing and maiming in many cases before safe discovery comes to an area where used in this planets many conflicts of man against man and everything else!!

Our Wars: "Who Pays" Costs Of?

by jimstaro

NOT the 99%plus Americans Served!!

As shown by their Representatives, again, on a loooooong vacation from their duties as. Especially those with any Conservative ideology bent with many of them, rubber stamping much more then the war costs of the theaters of OEF and OIF. Much of the media and many served attack the only branch of Government still working, the Executive and it's Cabinet, they don't control the peoples purse strings. Attacking on the issues of this ISIL, ISIS or IS, they all helped spawn after supporting the abandoning of the missions and those sent to accomplish so so quickly after 9/11. Sen McCain calling them freedom fighters, not long ago, in battling Assad in Syria. As well as the spread or containment and care as to Ebola. As well as the continued attacks as to the long under funded Veterans Administration.

Speaking of Ebola and the VA and the 'private sector health care', with boat loads of cash to prevent problems before they exist but in doing takes away from that corporate bottom line of profit and extremely high execs compensation and investors in, especially as the reports concerning the first death of in Texas:

Lets talk, present and now for years attack hounds Rep Miller and Sen Burr, about them problems, congressional induced, at the Veterans Administration, never mentioning the private sector huge number of never ending problems as you all still seek to privatize for corporate profit, the people served Responsibility! And the decades long obstruction on budgets, under funding of from the wars of those decades!!
