A drew this map in the hope that it would give Democrats a 7-1 majority. I don't believe Democrats would have any problem splitting Minneapolis. They may not go as far as I did, but I just can't imagine them not doing it.

I've been working on a Colorado map. I think it can produce a 6-1-1 delegation. I didn't take into account incumbent Democrats, but I don't think they'd have a huge problem with this map.

I drew a Democratic Gerrymander of New Jersey. I believe it to be a solid 10-2 map. It doesn't take into account incumbents, but I did draw a 50% AA majority district and a 50% Latino majority district.

Chellie Pingree for Senate!

by ndrwmls10

Yesterday, Senator Olympia Snowe announced her retirement. This particular bit of news sent shock waves through the political world. It was widely believed that she was going to run for reelection and that she would have crushed any one of her Democratic opponents. She was even gearing up for reelection. With her retirement, this Senate seat goes from a Safe Republican hold, to a Lean Democratic gain. Severely complicating the Republican party's attempt to retake the Senate.

Now the question is, who's going to run on the Democratic side. PCCC has begun a campaign to draft Congresswoman Chellie Pingree. The same organization helped to draft Elizabeth Warren, Pingree is a progressive champion and would make and excellent Senator.

I wrote a diary a while ago detailing two Indianapolis based districts. While they had clean lines for the most part, they weren't nearly as safe. This is an update of that diary in which I made the two districts much more safe.

Support Tammy Baldwin!

by ndrwmls10

As we all know by now, Representative Tammy Baldwin is running for Senate. She will be a strong voice for the middle class and the disadvantaged. Imagine adding Tammy Baldwin, Elizabeth Warren, and Mazie Hirono to the Senate. Baldwin represents the type of change we are looking for. She needs our help to ensure that this critical seat stays in the Democratic fold.
