If Sen. Sanders doesn’t win the primaries we won’t know if he’s “unelectable” in the General Election.
If HRC wins the primaries it won’t prove that she is “electable” in the General Election.
Therefore, it is very important for as many voters as possible vote in the primaries in 2016 to tell the parties the state of their voters’ lives.
I’m voting for Sen. Sanders because it will inform the DNC, etc. that the current status quo policies of the party are not acceptable to me.
If I were to vote for HRC, I would be lying to myself and to the DNC. I believe that we must change the status quo. I believe the best way to fight for the needed change in the status quo is Sen. Sanders with his principled stances and history of fighting for policies and getting concessions from the other side of the aisle.
That is why I urge all primary voters to vote for what you want to happen, not for what you think will happen.
If every primary voter votes her/his conscience, the DNC will know whether their failure to support local & state offices and campaigns has worked and whether the voters are OK with the PACs private deals with state & local parties and any endorsements by unions and pols that are obtained.
In any case, your party will know your honest wishes.
There are some fun reasons to vote your conscience in primary elections, too:
Your voting results might
prove pollsters wrong
prove pundits wrong
prove how uncommon wisdom is in DC
tell DC that big $$ can’t beat lots of voters

“Few will have the greatness to bend history itself, but each of us can work to change a small portion of events. It is from numberless diverse acts of courage and belief that human history is shaped. Each time a man stands up for an ideal, or acts to improve the lot of others, or strikes out against injustice, he sends forth a tiny ripple of hope, and crossing each other from a million different centers of energy and daring those ripples build a current which can sweep down the mightiest walls of oppression and resistance.”
