    for keeping counties together.

Warren County, with Western KY University, has a chance of going Democratic. We have a number of local democrats in office, and the liberalizing influence of WKU should help.

But, and this is a big but, although Bowling Green is a liberal oasis, that's not saying much. After all, Rand Paul is from Bowling Green (excuse me, I have to vomit a little). Even the theatre people here go to church on Wednesday night (when I was a kid, BG had more churches per capita than any other county in KY). And many people here like Brett Guthrie personally, even if he is a Republican. Brett Guthrie is a very nice person and his family has made substantive contributions to the community, including some major financial contributions to WKU. He's wrong, of course, from a liberal perspective, but people know that he is honest.

I would love to see more blue in the bluegrass. I think if we has some national support, we could ditch Mitch in the next election. No one likes him. But he has money and power, so without more national financing, we may be stuck with him. If we could ditch Mitch, that would be a real win for us nationally. Anyone want to help?

Fortunately, David Williams is tanking in the polls, so hopefully we can keep our Democratic governor. He's not perfect, but it could be much, much worse.
