I did some work on the KY Districts and came up with a different arrangement. I have not ran the numbers, but I created one Democratic district in Louisville, two heavily GOP districts, one in southern KY and one that takes in the Cincy and Louisville suburbs. The right Democrat could win in three districts. I hope this is true in the 1st district. When Kentucky lost one seat in 1990, the logical step was to add Owensboro, but the late Rep. Bill Natcher objected, so there was a finger extending into the old 5th district in Southern Kentucky, which is what put Ed Whitfield into office in 1994.

My main difference between the other maps I have seen is in placement of Hardin County and the Purchase (far Western Kentucky). I also try to re-create the old 5th and 7th districts.

This is my first time trying to post a map, so I hoped it worked.
