Why isn't the Left jumping in and providing suggestions? Why isn't it reaching out to the protesters, offering to answer questions, to provide expertise?

I do want to point out at least one on DKOS that has offered suggestions/examples of non violence techniques learned on the front lines over 40 years ago (by don mikulecky).  There may be other diaries (& comments) offering value as well.

The recent diaries are aimed at protective skills for the protesters interwoven with organizational resources.

I am not sure if it was readily apparent to readers that these 2 diaries were written by a committed sixties front liner & prof...

Further, how does one know whether entities such as the unions or others with organizing skills have not been offering suggestions to the bravehearts occupying Wall Street??  That in myriad ways, there are many who have their backs?

When one reviews history, it becomes clear that change was not wrought by a singular protest or demonstration, but by sustained action across the board (ie: on many fronts).

As momentum builds & is sustained, perhaps it will prove to not be the case of progressives dropping the ball after all.

Thousands of years ago the question was asked: 'Am I my brother's keeper?' That question has never yet been answered in a way that is satisfactory to civilized society. ~ Eugene V. Debbs
