  •  I want to be there SO BADLY (4+ / 0-)

I have rarely missed any kind of peoples' uprising in my 58 years. But now I have an elderly Mom who needs my care. WHAT CAN I DO FROM HERE? OTHER THAN OFFERING SUGGESTIONS, IS THERE SOME OTHER WAY I CAN HELP?

what those on the streets think those who can't be there can do to participate.  The collapse of IndyMedia over the past two years cuts off the sources I wold have gone to for that information.

indicating the things they need or need help with.  Apparently food is welcome, as are blankets and sweatshirts, and they have been quite specific about needs for assistance with media /publicity.  There is a UPS box for deliveries as well as several local restaurants who will take them prepared foods if you order.

Non perishable, no checks (money orders okay) , any size package okay

If you've been to a lot of protests, think about what you ALWAYS need and wish you had more of, and send it to them.  Having done my bit of long-range recon in the old days, I'm thinking mainly that it's getting pretty darned cold right now, and they're sleeping out with minimal shelter.  So blankets and warm dry socks are high on my list.
