    because having actually read the emails, I think that FOTE is misrepresenting, at least from waht I say.  For example, the mother jones emails are almost entirely a series of endorsements sent from Elliot to Elliot (e.g., undisclosed recipients), which isn't really evidence of anything.  The only substantive discussion I see is a bunch of DoS employees first deciding that A/S Fernandez should not meet with TransCanada, and secondly raising questions of whether Elliot's participation represents a conflict of interest without a response from legal that I saw.

    I mean, there are a zillion reasons why this project should be deader tahn a doornail, especially under a Democratic administration, but I just don't see evidence of what TSA is claiming in the evidence they've released.

    I have been involved in enough of these first and last to know that partisans on all sides will misrepresent the crap out of thngs.  Wish it weren't so, but it is.

    Intelligent, passionate, perceptive people will always disagree, but we should not let that disagreement, however heartfelt, lead us to become deaf to those better angels of our nature.
