      I find the attempt to draw an equivalence here a bit childish -- especially when atheists will claim that they, and only they, possess Reason and Science and are not part of a faith at all (i.e. if atheism isn't a faith, because it's The Truth, then no equivalencies; if it is a faith, then no sneering and claiming superiority on the basis of requiring no faith) -- and this was going to be another case of "rec list for sensationalism." However, the issue that's actually involved is far more insidious than "atheists are mistreating... Christians are mean."

      After George Tiller's murder, doctors who have bravely offered to step in and offer abortion in Kansas have been unable to do so because the landlords won't rent to them. The issue here is not "boo, Christians are bigots," but "Leasing laws are being used to effectively monopolize point of view in the public sphere."

      Every reductio ad absurdum will seem like a good idea to some fool or another.
