    … even though all states' economies are not the same.

    Conceptually, the euro was a remnant left over from a grand post-war vision of a United States of Europe.

    National sovereignty was gradually supposed to go the way of states'-rights type sovereignty in the U.S. after the Civil War / "War Between the States" / "War of Northern Aggression."
