    Ecologically, it is bound to happen at some point.

    We can't continue to live in a country that depends on all our material good being sent in polluting cargo ships from China. Good luck finding underwear made in the USA at any store today.

    We can't build an economy entirely based on exporting our coal and oil to other countries.

    Eventually, every region of the world will need to make the things it actually uses again.

    A re-localization of the planet is coming. We should get a plan in place to re-industrialize the USA to produce what we need.

    Europe, Asia, and Africa should be making similar plans.

      develop the technology to make underwear here, should it become cheaper to do so. I think everybody making plans to crawl into a cave is silly.
