become a teacher later in life, because of Mr. Sell -- my 9th grade biology teacher.  He and his partner teacher used audio tapes to set up a completely self-instructional learning experience based on Purdue's Postelwaithes approach.  I fell in love with the learning proces in that class.  I first majored in microbiology, and then, I found Instructional Design.  Finally, I followed in the footsteps of my beloved teacher and became a middle school teacher.

Thank you so much for your 32 years teaching.  I wish I could find Mr. Sell and tell him how much he influenced my life.

I know we'll never get rich in this profession, monetarily, but it would simply break my heart to think that Mr. Sell has a worry in the world about having a dignified and comfortable retirement. AND, he also deserves the respect of a grateful nation. Yes, he does, and so do you.  :)
