today, I didn't want anyone to miss the announcement that is planned.  It's big news because normally announcements themselves don't get announced.

I'm sorry that you're offended that this got Rec Listed.  But the pooties get up there, too, and I like Da Pooties.

    •  You're giving my opinion of the diary being a bit (3+ / 0-)

premature way way too much weight.  I was hardly offended.  I just the premature posting a bit entertaining after the site made so much fun of politicians constantly making announcements that they would be making announcements.  And found it odd that such a (then) substanceless diary would end up on the rec list.  But offended?  Hardly.

Glad there's so much interest in the Wisconsin recall, though.  I know many in Wisconsin are a bit recall tired, and have been pleasantly surprised by the positive results they seem to be getting so quickly.

      •  We are not recall tired. We are tired of the (5+ / 0-)

current situation in our state, but I don't mind you having your opinions, thanks for caring about us.

        •  The rethugs have done their best to (5+ / 0-)

make Wisconites recall tired by talking about how expensive the recalls are for the taxpayers, etc.  And polls published before this got started suggested that not a large percentage of voters supported a recall because of that.  However, the results seem to suggest the rethugs have failed in their PR campaign and the enthusiasm is there, obviously.  Which suggests to me either a piss poor job was done when the polls were taken or some effort was intentionally made to slant them and discourage the effort before it got started.  Doesn't sound as though that worked out too well for them, either.

I truly wish I could sign the petition myself.  I'd almost consider moving to Wisconsin to do it.  If Walker could be taken down, it would be a major, major building block for gutting this whole crazy right wing multi millionaire nuttiness that was threatening to totally take over our country.  Between OWS and these petition results, I'm beginning to have a glimmer of hope for this country again.
