Not trying to rain on anyones parade but even getting to the 540,000 will be much harder than many here think. We have simply got the low hanging fruit but it will take serious door to door to get us over the top. Am amazed how many I talk to who say they are Democrats or even that they hate Scott Walker but they won't sign a recall form becuse its "tto expensive" or just get rid of him "next election". Think solidly blue areas like Menomonie county around Kesheena and mill areas around Rapids and Point will have to be worked hard to get us well over the top. Milwaukee county and Dane of course should be worked to the bone since they are 75% Democrat and plenty of Dems in areas like Janesville etc even if they have elkected an idiot like Paul Ryan down there. Uw LAX, Point, Stout, Madison, whitewater, Eau Claire, oshkosh etc should be thoroughly audited to get all possible college kids not only signed in but motivated to vote in election.

We will get there, but don't kid yourself, it defintely won't be easy. Wisconsin is a very red state outside of a very few very blue areas.  They don't call Madison 50 square miles of heaven surrounded by reality for nothing lol. Thank God i live in the 'heaven" zone.

    •  Technically, it is 78 sq miles surrounded by (4+ / 0-)

reality. Question. Will the Dems who don't sign the petition still vote him out if there is an election?

19, male, WI-03 (home, voting), WI-02 (college), -7.88, -4.26, With all the crap Scooter is doing, I should move, but that would be one less vote to end the FitzWalkerstanian police state by recalling Scott Walker!!!!

Wisconsin has some deep blue areas and deep red areas, but most of it is purple, even in the countryside. It won't be easy, but that's partly because we can't restrict ourselves to college towns and big cities.

      Male, 21, -4.75/-6.92, born and raised TN-05, now WI-02

        Well lets see:

Was born in Rapids, had parents from Wausau and Fond du Lac, married a girl from LaCrosse, went to school at UW Madison, live in countryside outside of madison and have a lakehouse in Rhinelander so am pretty familiar with voter attitudes throughout Wisconsin.

This is the same Wisconsin that tossed out my hero Feingold for a bum named Johnson, put Walker in in the first place and has union towns like janesville that still manage to continually elect anti labor folk like Paul Ryan. To say nothing of the fact we put an idiot like Joe McCarthy into politics and got rid of another hero- Gaylord Nelson. My confidence in rural Wisconsin is not shining that brightly thank you very much.
