upset if it was just "pants on fire".

    I'm more sad, I guess.

Because the only way that Romney or anyone else gets away with lying (or even considers lying) is that the Obama administration has done a piss-poor job of communicating what the law actually provides.

I saw an ad recently about a deadline for Medicare applicants to . . . do something . . . that was a good thing provided by the health care act.

The deadline was a few days away, whatever it was.

I heard an ad on the radio for a new government agency with some sort of difficult acronym that provided . . . some sort of service for . . . some target group.

See?  This is totally vague even for someone who is actually trying to pay attention to this stuff.

Yet we read here that someone helped a woman who was quite ill and didn't have health care, by explaining that the health care act provides . . . something . . . so she can get treatment.

Why isn't the government producing ads listing what the act provides and phone numbers or websites so folks can access this stuff?

This is a government program.  It's not about Obama's re-election.  These would be public service announcements.

    Why aren't they doing this??

Romney and all the other GOP assholes can say whatever they want at this point, because the vast majority of us have no fucking clue what the Act provides or how it helps us.

I was able to keep my son on my insurance for an extra couple years.  He was then able to get insurance through his employer, so he didn't face the "pre-existing condition" thing - but has that even kicked in yet?

    Sigh.

They will lie until someone makes the truth clear.  Until then, it's par for the course for the gop.  Lie, and lie often, and lie repeatedly, because the Democrats have no idea how to (a) communicate or (b) counter lies.

They lie because it works.  Period.

    Sad.

Why is it that a 3% tax increase for the wealthy is considered "socialism" and an 8% wage cut for the middle class is "doing your part"? MartyM
