    Therein lies the outrage. This will end up ultimately affecting just about everyone working in IT in this country.

    Why on earth should someone making as little as $23,600 a year be expected to work overtime as an exempt employee? That's just outrageous.

      It's an outrage to think that someone earning $24K should be exempt. I think California reached a reasonable point where $80K is considered a professional level salary.
