    that have partisan implications is the essence of lazy "phone it in" don't offend anyone journalism.

    Any political pundit who doesn't have consistent withering criticisms of both parties either incompetent, mindlessly partisan or non-partisan or simply a coward. Because both parties deserve it from any remotely objective perspective.

    Being reliably partisan as a journalist is just as much a lazy cop out as the centrist one.  

    Advisors for President-Elect Barack Obama feared the new administration would face a coup if it prosecuted Bush-era war crimes, according to a new report out this morning.

      It's a banner headline on the literal "phone it in" media but not on DKOS which took same opportunity to talk about talking about talk.

      In this case, on this day, a phone in story about phoning it in while being scooped on the seminal issue of the day by a phone in online journal was more than a bit ironic.
