    I have that and read it awhile back.  On the whole a continuation of the H2G2 universe could have been a whole lot worse.  Eoin Colfer does a really decent job.  It's not Adams by any stretch of the imagination, but it's goofy and irreverant.  

    If you read it expecting Adams you will be disappointed.  If you read it more as an homage to the universe created by him, it's decent.

    I typically don't get too excited about authors picking up after an original author died.  For instance the Kevin Anderson and Brian Herbert Dune books are truly terrible, though I'm sure they sell plenty.  The ones I read had none of the subtlety and nuance and mystery that the elder Herbert's writing always managed to convey to me.  So I was skeptical about Oh And Another Thing and I was pleasantly not horrified :-)
