  •  When was the last time someone changed Veeps (6+ / 0-)

    in the middle of their term (a veep that hasn't resigned and been convicted of a crime, or died)?

    They can't just "dump him after the election".

    Unless you're thinking of the West Wing.

    I'm not a presidential historian but I think this would be really odd and disruptive.

    Why is it that a 3% tax increase for the wealthy is considered "socialism" and an 8% wage cut for the middle class is "doing your part"? MartyM

        unless Biden develops health issues of a serious nature. VP's don't resign unless they've been indicted. I've never heard of one resigning, except Agnew.

      it can be spun any number of ways.

      do it early enough in the second term and it will be a distant memory by the time of the next general election.

    •  Well, Obama wasn't a veep (0+ / 0-)

      when he ran.  Gore had to earn the nomination and it wasn't a lock.

      Maybe it'll be a cabinet member, or a governor.  Doesn't have to be the veep.
