and I have a monster-big geranium that has spent most of the winter so far out on the deck. I've been bringing it in when the temp forecast is for 34 or lower at night.

It's been in for the last two nights, going out again today until at least Tuesday. I decided to see if I could get it through the winter, just because.

We could still get a couple of those February and March snow and sleetstorms. Probably should, for the water table.

any snow over there? You have enough elevation that I should think it'd be a good bit colder.

... and looked south toward the north face of Pisgah Mountain (elev 5721).  It's hard to see through the trees from my porch, and there may still be some snow, but I don't think so; and there is no snow anywhere else in my line of sight, looking west toward the ridge (elev ~4000) that divides Buncombe and Haywood counties.  The temp here (elev 2850) at the moment is 50 and it's just started to rain.

around 5 pm, and not a bad thing. All this lovely warm weather over the winter is going to come back with a blast when it gets hot and people start complaining that their precious lawns are browning.
