9" black & white Panasonic from the mid 70s which still works like new.  But it would be nice to get color in time for election season.

I don't watch a lot, but it would be nice to have the option of color, and a larger screen for things that work well in that format.  19" would be fine, 26" is big, and I can't imagine having one of those huge ones because I don't have space for a serious home theatre.

And here's to hoping they proudly stamp "Made in Detroit Michigan USA" on the front of each one.

"Minus two votes for the Democrat" equals "plus one vote for the Republican." Arithmetic doesn't care about your feelings.

    •  LOL at 26" being big. Our first TV was 19 inches (4+ / 0-)

and we thought that was fine. When we upgraded to 27" we thought that was huge and the 36" after that was way big enough. But after watching a number of sporting events on HD a few years ago we decided to take the plunge.

We now have a 52" HD hanging on the wall. Could never have imagined a TV that big in our home, but after watching the winter classic on a friend's 62" (or something like that), well...

When the 19 inch CRT in the bedroom dies I'll definitely be looking at Element, and I sent the link to my sister who's been on a buy American tear and is the only one in the family who has yet to upgrade to a flat screen. She's in no hurry so waiting till they're up and running would be no problem for her.

The only thing that compares with good live seating, is being able to see it life-size at home with family & friends and your choice of food & beverages.

I'd bet that most of the huge TVs in circulation were bought with sports in mind.

    •  LOL. 9" TV. Reminds me of my wife's comment: (10+ / 0-)
Her: I want a bigger TV
Me: Move the couch closer to the screen.

Gentlemen, you can't fight in here! This is the War Room!
