    most of the wealth is in the hands of so few.

    All of us, litterally all of us, could live lives of relative ease and luxury while working about thirty hours a week if we even approached equitable (as opposed to equal) distribution of wealth.

      How much money do you think you need to live a live of luxury?

      World GDP (using PPP) is approximately $75 Trillion.  (http://en.wikipedia.org/...).

      $75 trillion over 6 billion people is $12,500.  I don't know about you, but my family of 4 needs more than $50K/year to live a life of "relative luxury".

      And this assumes that you could somehow transition to your new system at 0 cost with 0 reduction in global GDP, which seems highly unlikely.
