      They even refunded my money when I was dumb enough to buy Rage before reading the reviews. Oh John Cormack, how far you've fallen :(

      That's Electronic Arts' vending and anti-piracy program..... and if you read the EULA carefully, you can note that installing it gives Electronic Arts the rights not only to read every file on your hard drive, but to compile information from this process and sell it to other parties. Now that's chutzpah.

        of the Origin requirement.  Activision is just as bad, with Diablo3 requiring a constant online connection -- to play offline single player.

        What those companies don't realize is that the more onerous they get with their anti-piracy efforts, the more attractive it is to pirate since cracking and removing that crap makes the game run better.

        Steam in general doesn't bother me too much.
