You point out the main problem that drives up prices: executive pay.

For the last 20 years we have been hearing about how it is cheaper for government to outsource rather than pay unionized government employees (IMHO, healthcare should be a government function). Remember the 600 page books that Republicans would hold up? They claimed these books were filled with regulations preventing bad government workers from getting fired. Plus they had to have all of the health and retirement benefits lumped onto union scale wages.

None of that, even if it were true, would compare to the money being sucked out of the system by the 1%. No government employee is paid $4.45 million. Why? Probably because it says in the 600 page book that no one shall be paid more than they are worth. The executive pay and bonuses add up to unprofitability.

That is why I pulled all of my money out of Wall Street and put it into Main Street. I employ somewhere around 30 people. I am a job creator but I am no millionaire. If I could afford better healthcare for my employees, I would buy it. I simply can't afford the CEO's extortion.

Socks and sandals. Yeah, I wear 'em. They are comfortable and convenient. So, get off my case.
