    you might look into the number of filibusters the Democrats used during the Bush Administration.  I think you'll be surprised at how few there were in comparison to the Repuke's use of same.

      Kossacks were defending the institution of the filibuster against the threat of the so-called "nuclear option." When Bill Frist was Senate Majority leader, Kossacks were adamant about the proud tradition of the filibuster as a check against the tyranny of the majority. Now, not so much.

        cases.  It wasn't used to block almost every bill and every appointment which is how the Republicans are using it.  The Democrats were never that willing to obstruct the Republican agenda - otherwise we'd have never had the Bush Tax Cuts, though I figure the war would have still gone through because of the lies told to support it.
