    compared to any other vehicle i've driving...

    as for the lack of heat...usually, one finds that the heater cables have snapped. if a bug is cold, there's a reason...otherwise, they are toasty warm...i remember having to turn off the vents in a snowstorm...i was sweating!!

    i'm not aware of too many things-i know what i know, if you know what i mean-e.b.

      and the long tubes from the engine up to the car can develop holes and get partly disconnected.  But you're right, when those parts are in good condition the Bug has plenty of heat even in winter.  Too bad it comes out down at the floor.  The windshield defrost has a lot farther to go and mine has never had very strong flow.
