It's a website - not even "peer-reviewed" by comments like DKos is - where anyone can sign up at any time to post anything.  I have no idea whether the article you link to is accurate because the author has provided no meaningful indicia of accuracy.

Until there's a more reliable source out there, this diary needs to come down.  We're better than this.

Anyone with any respect for what the office of the president of the United States represents should take one look at the above photo of Governor Jan Brewer sticking her finger in the face of this country's commander in chief and say "who the f**k do you think you are, lady?"

Sadly, there are undoubtedly those who look at Brewer's finger to Obama's face as just another way that Governor Glug-Glug's stickin' it to the federal government -- something she so often brags about.

      Also from the same source:

The best part of the whole report: the arresting officer describes Brewer as "thick tongued." In Brewer's defense, anyone who's seen her speak knows Jan always sounds like she might be border-line drunk -- so her thick tongue isn't exactly a smoking gun when trying to prove she's wasted.

      DUI non arrest

      And there's this:

The governor wasn't at the airport greeting the president on behalf of herself. She was there representing ALL of us. Right, left and middle. Young and old. Men and women.

      ...snip...

A lecture, an argument, a confrontation of any kind shows disrespect for the office. Not just for the person who holds it.

      The governor should be embarrassed.

Talking about a DUI incident that happened 24 years ago.

I await even the littlest shred of proof about Brewer actually be drunk or having a drinking problem.

Then maybe we can get away from this stupid gossip.

        •   What she said about the president is gossip.. (0+ / 0-)

the fact that she was stopped for suspicion of being under the influence (even if it was 24 years ago) is not gossip.  It's a fact.

And her story about what happened yesterday appears to be unravelling:

But the mayor said he was standing right next to the governor when the exchange took place and Obama didn’t seem to be in any kind of hurry to leave.

“There was no sense that he was running to or from anything,” Smith told TPM. In fact, he said, the president stayed and had a pleasant conversation with Smith, who’s a Republican, and Phoenix Mayor Greg Stanton, a Democrat.

It was “just the four of us,” Smith said. “Mayor Stanton and I had a decent talk with him.”

          oops.

            President.

What I'm questioning is the completely baseless accusation that she was drunk when it happened.

Care to offer any proof for that except a 24 year old car stop?

I keep hearing how its whispered that's she a three martini lunch kind of girl - I'd simply like some confirmation.
