  •  Walker's "official" statement.... (8+ / 0-)

Madison -- Gov. Scott Walker's campaign released a statement Thursday about the charges filed against two of his former aides as Milwaukee County executive.

Here's the statement in its entirety:

“The Milwaukee County executive's office expressed policy was that county employees were not permitted to use county time or resources to conduct any political activity. Scott Walker expected everyone to follow the law and made that clear publicly and privately," Walker campaign spokeswoman Ciara Matthews said in the statement.

      Let the ass covering begin!

There already is class warfare in America. Unfortunately, the rich are winning.

a reference in one of the articles I read, that there was a Walker email or memo to his staff telling them not to do campaign work on official time.  However, the statement was that they shouldn't do it because it would generate bad press if it was found out.  He wasn't concerned that it was abuse of taxpayer money or that it was illegal, just that it would possible be bad for his campaign.  It was similar to the comments he made in the infamous Koch phone call when asked about planting trouble makers in the crowd of protestors.  His only concern was that it might look bad, not that it might cause a riot and hurt people.
