  •  We knew Walker's campaign office (9+ / 0-)

had been raided but only found out today that the county exec office had also been raided the day before the gubernatorial election. That was a juicy tidbit.

Was nice of them to wait until the "state of my mess" speech was over, yah?

It was leaked on Sunday last that arrests were forthcoming and that these were not the last (per your diary and jsonline). What was also leaked was there is some question about housing funds and how they were used. The article also reminded us of the real estate buddy who was arrested last month for not talking to officials.

This will be interesting. More embezzlement?

None of this will be good for Walker. These people are close to Walker.

    •  Our stinking media (6+ / 0-)

They never covered the John Doe or the raid on the County Execs office before the election....when that knowledge would have helped.  Nope, they've carried Walkers water for years.

Now that the stink of corruption is sky high (and he's been stiffing them on interviews) they're starting to report all of this.  They're largly responsible for getting this guy elected by not covering this crap (plus endorsements of His Ratiness at the time).

Yes, some of his top people have immunity deals in exchange for testimony and Wink, charged today, agreed to a plea deal that reduced her charges to misdemeaners and no jail time in return for spilling the beans on what she knows.

They've gotta be closing in on the guy at the top.  Walkers been busy distancing himself from these people and not commenting on these stories.

      Stay tuned.

The plan was to ram through the entire extremist agenda before the GOP Assembly Reps had to start campaigning for re-election.  They were counting on the usually short memory of voters to forget the extremism and just vote them in again.

Had the media covered the raid on Walkers office or the fact that he delayed the Milwaukee County budget report for several months (until after the election) because it would have revealed a massive budget deficit (that would have exposed his "always balanced the budget" lie), the election would have gone the other way and we wouldn't have to deal with this crap in the first place.
