  •  And this is precisely what is destroying America.. (11+ / 0-)

Rich people don't have to do ANYTHING anymore to keep getting richer and richer. All they have to do is sit on their asses, and make the occasional political contribution to ensure the current laws that perpetuate their wealth on the backs of the rest of us stay on the books.

America became great because people used to have to CREATE THINGS to get rich. America is now crumbling because the rich not only don't have to create anything anymore to get richer, but they can accelerate the growth of their wealth by actively destroying things, ala Mitt Romney.

Working Americans will continue to suffer until they wake up, stick together, and put an end to the predatory economy the Mitt Romneys of the world profit from.

the more paranoid they seem to get about losing it. That's one reason they often seem to "touch" only a small part of the funds.

      Moderation in most things.

... When you can risk next to nothing bribing politicians, and get even richer sitting on your ass?

So long as we allow it to be more profitable to buy off the govt, they will.

And so long as the rich can literally buy a govt that serves them at the expense of everyone else, then America isn't a democracy, and we are not free.
