I'm stunned at my senator, Padilla, and I intend to make my feelings known.  In my part of LA, single payer would be a great boon to all the families who live here.  Today I am just shaking my head...

Although I no longer call California home, I spent a long time living out there, most of it in Southern California.  I worked on the campaign of Alex Padilla's opponent in his first race for City Council.  He's not a bad person, but he is a machine politician with not many original thoughts and a belief that if he stays quiet and does nothing controversial, he'll be elected to even higher office.

It's disappointing to see Michael Rubio voting No.  I was at a campaign finance conference years ago before he was elected to the state legislature, and remember being very impressed by him.
