    those who didn't join the union slightly more than those who did. However, I don't think that is legal. Those who don't want to join the union would be happy to negotiate a different set of wages and benefits, but they can't.

      GE would like to discriminate on the basis of anti-unionism, and can't lawfully do so.  But the free riders would like to deny the benefits of unionism by not paying their fair share, and in "RTW" states, they can do so. Rethugs and their business allies like to speak of the myth that somehow this regime leads to better economics for workers, which is a lie.
