  •  Nothing stops an employer from (0+ / 0-)

    reducing employees' wages to minimum, unless there's a union on the scene.  Yes, decent employers don't stay at the minimum, but without a union, there is no legal brake for the employer stopping it from reducing wages.  Generally, union employees make more $ than non-union counterparts.  That is true because of their collective bargaining strength.
