  •  Jehovah's Witness (8+ / 0-)

Their religious principles don't permit blood transfusions or organ transplants.  I wonder if this is a concern for the congresscritters?  I also wonder why the Catholic hierarchy gets consideration but the JWs don't.  I can guess, though.  It's about who has the money and who benefits.  The Jehovah's Witness is a small sect whose members don't vote, also as a matter of religious principle.  The USCCB and the corporatists benefit from plentiful and cheap labor.

The Republican plan to solve the unemployment problem is to force women out of paid employment using their fertility against them like after WWII.  The Pink Collar Ghetto is still pretty pink though and techology has made planned pregnancy easier.

    •  We need to bring up that... (0+ / 0-)

We need to bring up that by allowing companies to choose what benefits and services the company will offer will not only allow Catholic organizations the ability to refuse birth control to their employees and Jehovah Witnesses to refuse blood transfusions but what about all of those scary Muslims?  Are they going to allow Sharia Law to come to this country through the back door of this bill?  Is Grover Norquist trying to get his wife's religious beliefs indoctrinated into the country so they can take over our culture?  This is scary stuff.

Maybe they will allow the oil companies, who have to deal with these scary Muslims, the ability to put into their negotiations that they will no longer allow their employees to see good old fashion American Doctors but make them see only doctors of Islamic faith... (Oh my god, have you been to a hospital lately?  I think it is already started!  Ahhhhh.....)

If the Ultra conservatives can freak out about crazy stuff, they shouldn't be the only ones to have all of the fun!
