    Up until then I loved to sit in the sun and get a tan. That day I went outside on the deck and it seemed more intense than I'd ever felt it. "Like death rather than life," as you say, radv005. That's the last day I tried for a tan. And I see (or maybe it's feel) those differences in color of the sky and quality of light too. Scary.
