  •  I am not as negative about Chris Matthews (15+ / 0-)

as many on KOS...He is a old school--mod democrat and I am okay on that..I watch his show 3-4 times a week. Some times, it is good, sometimes awful. I still it and many of his guests. When his show is bad, it often comes when he is strongly advocating a position and obviously unprepared on the issues.

When you have people on the network who truly prepare (yes you, rachel and chris hayes) it seems like Chris Matthews just shows up.

In this situation he is disgusting. He is apparently the kind of liberal that can compro0mise all rights but his own. What a narrow mind.

I also found it astounding Chris was not familiar with what David Boies had  said the night before on Lawrence. The entire constitutional argument gets thoroughly deconstructed and Chris knows nothing about it when he prepares to do an entire show on the subject only 24 hours later.

    •  He's an idiot (6+ / 0-)

A well-meaning idiot, I believe, who has his moments, but an idiot nonetheless. He's there to appeal to a certain demographic, the older while man who didn't go to a top-tier school and isn't necessarily the brightest or most sophisticated guy in the room, and is somewhat old-fashioned in his ways, but is basically a decent working or middle class guy who wants to do right even if he doesn't have a clue as to how to do that much of the time, or the will to do it if he did.

Think Ralph Kramden, or Murray the Cop from the Odd Couple.

      And yes, I'm dating myself.
