  •  O'Donnell ain't much better (12+ / 0-)

After having David Boies on to eloquently elucidate him on Wednesday, he then proceed to - in Chris Matthews' "I'm a good little Catholic boy" fashion - nitpick the legal situation of the 28 states that already employ this law, trying to find an excuse to be a moronic blockhead about it. I can't get past the fact that these guys, generally liberal though they may be, have revealed themselves to believe in the exclusivity of their elitist, boys club. the "rewrite" segment and "let me finish" segment are always predicated on eviscerating someone's poor logic, yet when they engage in pathetic reasoning themselves they bristle or ignore the people who inform them.

      O'Donnell moved the goalposts.

After he was shown by Boies that this was about employment law, he started in on the 28 states thing AND started saying to all his guests, "C'mon -- you are forgetting about the MILLIONS of women who won't be covered by the ACA."

As if we should just walk away from this issue because it wouldn't cover every single woman in the country immediately.

      Asshole. Just an asshole.

When he's proved incorrect about what he's been shouting about, he changes his attack and tries to guilt women into caving on this issue because not everyone will be initially covered by the ACA.

He said he was raised Catholic and like most he just reflexively gets his back up a bit when he thinks the church is being pushed around. Then reason stepped in, it hasn't for all.
