  •  It's safe to assume any 100% pro-choice advocate (7+ / 0-)

...may cringe at the thought of an abortion. That's why our diverse bipartisan coalition learned long ago not to discuss abortions but choice.

Being pro-choice is not a judgement about abortion but about fighting for the freedom for everyone in our nation to live and choose and to have choices and to have equity in choices regardless of gender, race, sexuality, religion, etc.

    Except for wealth, of course.

Juxtapose the intense and loud national reaction against the objections to ACA's copay rules regarding contraception to the silence at the Hyde Amendment and how it restricts the choices of poor women. There are plenty of non-childbearing women, straight, gay, and postmenopausal, who've reliably fought for other women's rights to choose yet there is not a peep about the Hyde Amendment anymore. Apparently, it's now accepted wisdom that income determines when a woman has the right to choose.

far to the right our nation has gone.
And in some states, now, even women with financial resources can't get an abortion, much less women with low incomes.
