Romans and I Corinthians.  The contrast between Matthew and his recounting of Jesus' teachings and Paul's preoccupation with The Law, sin and sex is quite striking.  I also recall  learning in college that when the Romans stopped martyring Christians, the more zealous  sought to experience a semi-equivalent struggle  by going off into the desert and doing battle with their desires.

The most healthy thing the Catholic Church could possibly do is allow priests to marry and to have sex.  It would do wonders for their outlook on life, morale and recruiting.  It would be so much healthier and maybe they would be less prone to sniffing around everyone else.

The scientific uncertainty doesn't mean that climate change isn't actually happening.
