    anywhere. George Z is alleged to have claimed on an application that his father was a magistrate judge with the Supreme Court of Virginia. There is no such position. There are magistrates in the Virginia system. They are not called judges. They are not required to be attorneys, although they may be. In the years Zimmerman lived in Virginia, they did not even have to be college graduates. The stories by media outlets who have looked into his background describe Robert Zimmerman as "retired military" and make no mention at all of any connection with any court. The mother worked in the county court, possibly as a deputy clerk, possibly as a translator, possibly both.

    The "daddy judge got him out of this" claim has been created out of whole cloth. Feel free to believe it, but it is not factual, at least at this point.
